Niagara 4 End of Support: Q3 2028 per Tridium
Facts read October 30, 2026.
Short answer: Tridium says Niagara 4.15, the last Niagara 4 release, is planned to receive updates through Q3 2028 (Tridium N5 FAQ). Some other sites say December 31, 2028 or Q4 2028, but they do not cite a Tridium document. Treat Q3 2028 as the planned date until Tridium publishes something else.
Where the dates disagree
| Source | Type | Date it states |
|---|---|---|
| Tridium N5 FAQ | Vendor | 4.15 updates through Q3 2028; 4.15 "expected to remain supported through 2028" |
| Tridium N5 FAQ, July 2025 copy (distributor-hosted) | Vendor FAQ | Q3 2028 |
| Egan Company | Integrator blog | December 31, 2028 (no source given) |
| Tyrrell Products | Reseller guide | Q4 2028 (no source given) |
Difference flagged: both Tridium documents say Q3 2028. The FAQ's wording "through 2028" may be where the end-of-2028 readings come from (our inference).
Software support vs hardware support
JACE-8000 end of hardware support is planned for July 2028, per the Tridium Niagara Newsletter, January 2025. That is a hardware date, separate from Niagara 4 software support. See JACE-8000 end of life.
Is 4.15 the last Niagara 4 release?
Yes. Tridium describes 4.15 as the LTS release, and stations need to be on 4.15 LTS before moving to N5 (FAQ).
What to do now
Get stations to 4.15 and confirm you are patched. See Niagara 4.15 vulnerabilities and the N4 EOL checklist. All dates are planned and can change.
When will Niagara 5 itself ship? See Niagara 5 release date.
